I’d love to tell you a little bit about us and what you will experience when browsing through our collections.
So, i’ll start from the beginning…
As a busy mum of two, holidays are what my family does to unwind. Whether it’s a staycation to one of our favourite UK hotels, a week in Europe for some quick summer sun, or a longer break further afield to escape the winter months, we love to travel and enjoy time away. And a pre-cursor to our trips is always the holiday shop. Whether its buying new swimwear for my daughters to replace outgrown items, or topping up the summer wardrobe with beachwear and cover-ups, or simply replacing lost hats and sunglasses and toys for the beach.
However, what should be an enjoyable and easy experience, always ends up being a thankless task, as I jump from store to store unable to find what I’m looking for…essentially everything I need in one single store which sells quality products, delivers on comfort and style, and features fun and inspiring designs that my children are excited to wear. As an adult, I know exactly where to find these things for myself…I go online to a multi-brand store and within a few simple clicks I can find everything I want from swimwear, through to beach dresses and even sun care. So why is it so hard to do the same for children?
And it was this problem, which myself and others were coming up against time and time again, that made me realise that the market was lacking this very concept for children. And so, the idea for The Little Sunshine Store was born – the UK’s only dedicated online holiday shop for children between the ages of 0 and 10 years.
On our pages you will find a curated edit of stylish swimwear, resort wear and sunny day accessories from established designers and emerging brands, as well as useful articles and downloads in our lifestyle section to help you plan for your next trip away. Think of it like your little piece of paradise on the web!
What’s more, all of our partner brands deliver on our core principles:
- Sunsafe (super important for children to be carefree but protected against the sun’s harmful rays)
- Sustainable (doing our bit to help the environment, helps us to protect it for future generations to play and enjoy)
- Comfortable (we don’t want anything to interrupt our little one’s enjoyment – least of all an ill-fitting swimsuit)
- Stylish (as lovers of fashion, we want our children to feel great and look great in what they’re wearing)
People have told me that I’m crazy setting up a holiday store in the middle of a global pandemic, but i’m a firm believer that long summer days in the paddling pool deserve stylish swimwear just as much as lazy afternoons building sandcastles on the beaches of the Caribbean! After all, style should never be compromised and so long as the sun is shining and your children are having fun and making memories, you’re going to want to capture those precious moments…I know I do!
